Have you ever been reading a book and you stop and think "this is giving me Sweet Home Alabama vibes" or some other movie/show you love? I personally love when that happens, and so, I made a list of some. They are not exact replicas but I will explain why the book was giving off the movie vibe below.

The Only One Left

Nancy Drew

Haunted house, Creepy/Odd Characters with interviews from main character, People killed in home. "One of the greatest unsolved mysteries of all time". The Only One Left is definately for older audiences compared to the PG rated movie. I loved this movie growing up and when reading The Only One Left, I kept getting those Nancy Drew vibes (not only the above movie Nancy Drew).

 Part of your world

Sweet Home Alabama

Who doesn't love a small Town Romance with tons of Wit???? No these two are not exactly the same story but you get the sense of family in both of these small town settings and a town rallying together to keep a couple together. In Part of your World the couple randomly meets and in Sweet Home Alabama it is a second chance romance but otherwise there are some similarities in the story you'll just have to read for yourself to see!

Rosie Project and Elenor Oliphant

The Big Bang Theory

Quirky very smart characters who sometimes miss social ques..... Well that pretty much sums up all three of these. THe Rosie project even has this quirky main character fall for a seemingly "normal" girl. Don Tilman is a man whose difficulty with social rituals has convinced him that he is simply not wired for romance. So when an acquaintance informs him that he would make a "wonderful" husband, his first reaction is shock. Yet he must concede to the statistical probability that there is someone for everyone, and he embarks upon The Wife Project.

She struggles with appropriate social skills and tends to say exactly what she’s thinking. Nothing is missing in her carefully timetabled life of avoiding social interactions, where weekends are punctuated by frozen pizza, vodka, and phone chats with Mummy.

The Book Charmer

Gilmore Girls

"Sarah Dove is no ordinary bookworm. To her, books live, breathe, and sometimes even speak. As the librarian in her quaint Southern town of Dove Pond" Does this not already sound like Rory? I mean books dont talk to Rory but she always had one in her hand! There so many quirky characters in this small town that gives off Gilmore Girls feels.

side note: I am not the only one who has read this and though of Gilmore Girls.

Educated

The Glass Castle

Yes, Yes I know these are both books but hear me out.... I know so many people who have seen this movie and not read the book (myself being one of them). I struggle to read books after I have seen the show or movie (with the exception of Harry Potter) So now if you loved this movie and looking for a book with similar feels I have the book for you!

A Man Called Ove

UP

Grumpy old man who recently lost his wife and has a loving, adorable, big personality neighbor.... Youve just named the Movie UP and A Man Called Ove! A Man Called Ove is a little darker, But who would've thought a book about a man trying to kill himself could also be so funny. These are both Wholesome stories about some amazing neighbors.

The Things We Leave Unfinished

Top Gun

Air Force romance who are spending time away from each other and worrying about the other's safety. I done want to spoil anything so I wont say much else. Unlike Top Gun, The things we leave unfinished has dual POVs and the author of Fourth Wing wrote it so it has to be good right?!?!? I can say it is an amazing book!

Divine Rivals

The Lake House

Magical letters being sent to a stranger and then a relationship devleops..... That is unfortuantely about all these two have in common, however I loved this movie! I feel like if you also loved this movie, you will also love this book..... so here we are. enjoy!

One of Us is Lying

The Breakfast Club

It even says it on the back ot the book "fans of the breakfast club" I can say it does have similarities but the "murder"/ person dying part I don't think you will find in the Breakfast club... But how all these different kids and personalities end up becoming friends and overcoming the incident is All you see in the Breakfast club. So yes I agree it is the Breakfast Club with a twist.

A Court of Thorns and Roses

Beauty and the Beast

I kinda just had to throw this one in here because it is such a good book and definitely gives off Beauty and the beast vibes.... Here I will show you.

When nineteen-year-old huntress Feyre kills a wolf in the woods, a terrifying creature arrives to demand retribution. Dragged to a treacherous magical land she knows about only from legends, Feyre discovers that her captor is not truly a beast, but one of the lethal, immortal faeries who once ruled her world..... and then she is literally taken prisoner in his castle.... Not sure how you can get more Beauty and the Beast than that!
